IN THE CHAUTAGNE POPLAR GROVE

FROM CHANAZ TO SERRIERE EN CHAUTAGNE

Departing from Chanaz, the little savoyard venice, you will go in the north direction through the ViaRhona and a little sinuous road which crosses the historical dyke. This dyke has been built after 100-year flood during the beginning of the XX century. At the foot of the Mollar (a little mountain) in Vions, you will reach the open-air café of the blue pond where you will be able to have a little gourmet break. After few kilometres, you will go into the Chautagne poplar grove; one of the biggest in Europe! This part of the ViaRhona is one of the most beautiful and the wildest of the Haut Rhone. Finally, you will reach the outdoor activities centre with its bathing pond and its open-air café.
