THE LITTLE SAVOYARD VENICE

FROM SEYSSEL TO CHANAZ

Departing from the Aqualoisirs base in Seyssel Ain, you will join the port. This portion of bicycle path has been the first build in the region of Haut Rhone. You will be able to do a first break on the base in Motz where the Fier river, coming from the Aravis massif, finishes its course in the Rhone.

During next 7km, bikes and cars share the road until Serrière en Chautagne. From this village, the new portion of bicycle path crosses one of the biggest poplar grove in Europe! The atmosphere and the surroundings are 100% nature. You will ride along the old Rhone and the Natura 2000 reserve and after that, the ViaRhona will bring you to the open-air café of Vions. Situated at the edge of a blue pond, you will enjoy a gourmand break or a refreshing bathing. The arrival at Chanaz is done through a little and sinuous road crossing plains of Chautagne where you could find lots of pasture and ancestral cultures. The little Venice of the Savoy region will know how to make you feel welcome and to let you lots of wonderful memories through its Canal de Savière, its small houses on stilts and its narrow spaces.
